The Demise of American Tennis

In recent years the ATP has not provided much for American tennis fans to be excited about. Andy Roddick and James Blake seem to fall into the hands of Roger Federer at every major tournament, a result I don’t anticipate changing any time soon. Other Americans such as Robby Ginepri, Mardy Fish and Sam Querrey do not seem to have even a Todd Martin in them. Younger player such as Donald Young and company just do not seem to have the firepower to challenge the worlds best. Why you ask? Well the problem begins with the training facilities where all these players have trained, and where future ATP hopefuls end up. Continue…
